Umoja Black Scholars Network

LAVC’s Umoja Black Scholars Network is a community of administrators, teaching faculty, counselors, staff, and students who are committed to the academic success of Black students. Within this network, Black students receive free counseling from the Student Equity Counselor, monthly meet-ups with other Umoja Black Scholars participants for community building, cultural activities and events to promote cultural enrichment, campus and community referral to ensure that the students are aware of the abundance of resources catered to their success California college tours & Historically Black College and University (HBCU) tours, and much more.

The Umoja Black Scholars Staff is committed to providing you with the best leadership anad guidance towards success here at Los Angeles Valley College and beyond!
